Wheels of Glory! is a family-centered band hailing from Western New York State. With rich, tight-knit harmonies, our first love is to glorify the name of Jesus while bringing others into a vibrant experience with Him and then get out of the way. History
We grew up immersed in music. Most of us were born and grew up during the ’90s and early 2000s worship revival and got a taste for good worship music that played in the house almost constantly. From “The Donutman” to Petra, Hillsong, and Carman, spirit-infused music seemed to flow right through our veins.
Besides that, our family history also has music riddled throughout it. Our great-grandfather was a poet, our grandparents played in the bell choir for years, and our grandmother sang soprano in choir as a young adult. Our grandfather couldn’t carry a tune, but he sang us all to sleep…often leaving us singing the wrong tunes to the songs that he taught us. Our dad was part of an award-winning choir in high school and then at college. Our mom was involved in band in high school.
So it comes as no surprise that they raised children who were passionate about music. We started worshipping together as a family when eldest daughter Anne took up piano lessons when she was 10. Other members of the family picked up various instruments as they grew up, slowly evolving our sound into Wheels of Glory!
We developed Wheels of Glory! in 2008 in response to a call from God to begin making our own music. Anne started writing songs, many of which are featured on our debut release, Ever Higher. She was joined by younger sister Joy and eventually, youngest sister Sarah Grace as the two grew up and became full-fledged leaders of the band shortly before the first record came out in 2015.
Today, Anne still records and produces our music. Joy designs the album covers. Sarah Grace heads up the social media presence, and we all write music together. We still gather weekly to sing and worship God together. And that is the point of our music and all that we do – to glorify God and to give Him the honor that He is worthy of.
